Morning Intensives in Joshua Tree
Take the Morning Intensives during one or both of the Teacher Training Retreats
Created and led by Caroline Cardino and assisted by Rachel Skinner
Morning Intensives include Caroline’s 2-hour yoga practice, guided meditation, and yoga study. May be combined with the Yoga Study Program to add more depth to your practice. Apply early, space is limited!
Winter Retreat Morning Intensives
Chakras 1 through 4: ROOTS TO BRANCHES Grounding into earth & tribe connections; harnessing & awakening creative energy; removing blocks to inner power and sense of Self; awakening the Inner Healer and Warrior; and healing heart wounds to allow emotional connection.
Saturday to Saturday, February 22-29 - Daily, 7am to 10:30am
Summer Retreat Morning Intensives
Chakras 4 through 7: BRANCHES TO SKY Outward expansion and expression; speaking heartfelt truth; awakening the inner Visionary and Teacher; energetic connection and living within the universal field.
Saturday to Saturday, June 20-27 - Daily, 7am to 10:30am

WHO IS IT FOR?
The Morning Intensives are for yogis seeking to enhance and advance their yoga practice. They are an opportunity to step out of the busy-ness and stress of daily life, unwind and slow down, and reconnect to body and spirit. A week of rigorous morning practices in Joshua Tree will lay the ground for inner growth and self-awareness, sending you home feeling deeply restored, renewed, and alive!
**PLEASE NOTE: You must apply to join the Morning Intensives, since you’ll be practicing alongside Teacher Trainees and space is limited. The Morning Intensives are taught at an Intermediate to Advanced level, so participants must have some yoga experience.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Morning Intensives provide a framework for your own personalized retreat in Joshua Tree, CA - a beautiful, surreal desert setting with clear, starry night skies, mind-blowing sunrises and sunsets, and other-worldly flora and fauna (road-runners! crazy cacti!) .
For eight days, you’ll join us bright & early to practice and study alongside our Teacher Trainees:
Soul-Nourishing Yoga: Caroline’s 2-hour asana practices will energize the chakra of the day; you’ll receive plenty of personal attention in your yoga practice, as well as heart-felt hands-on assists, energy holds, and Thai Yoga stretches from Caroline and Rachel
Guided and Silent Meditation: learn and practice a variety of techniques within a supportive and energetic field of group meditation
In-Depth Yoga Study: yoga philosophy, chakra study, self-reflection exercises, yogic cleansing practices, and guided self-care based on the theme of the day
Afternoons and evenings free to fill as you like!
If you haven’t had the pleasure of visiting Joshua Tree, there are amazing hot springs, spas, hiking trails, local sights to see, and quirky night spots to enjoy in the unique desert towns clustered around the National Park - Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, and Pioneertown, to name a few!
Joshua Tree can be a blissfully isolated, restorative getaway, or a sweet, Mid-Century-California vacay, depending on where you choose to stay and what you do with your free time!
